Resource-saving sewage sludge treatment
The current way of treating sewage sludge – mono-incineration – pollutes the environment and wastes resources.
Furthermore, it doesn’t make sense from an energy balance: apart from the negative environmental effect, the gained energy from incineration is used to dry the sewage sludge in the first place, in order to make it combustible.
Our holistic solution is resource-saving, climate friendly and economically highly efficient. We ensure the statutory recovery of the valuable phosphate and exploit the maximum amount of energy. We create a possibility for carbon capture and make sure that CO2 is permanently removed from the material cycle.
We isolate the phosphate using special catalysts. As a result, our phosphate in the form of a granulate is directly available for plants. In contrast, mono-incineration stores the ash on special disposal sites, hoping to find appropriate technical and industrial solutions in the future to extract the phosphate.
Our gasification technology enables us to harness 99% of the energy contained in sewage sludge. Mono-incineration wastes considerable energy quantities through the combustion of wet sewage sludge. UNIWASTEC is capable of recovering 1.5 MWh of green electricity from one ton of HTC coal gained from sewage sludge.
Attractive disposal price
Due to our holistic approach and the production of green electricity and green hydrogen from sewage sludge, we are able to offer a much better disposal price than the ones of other current market players. UNIWASTEC provides its services based on a sewage sludge agreement and thereby ensures long disposal safety.
We are able to produce the products synthetic natural gas, green electricity, synthetic fuel and green hydrogen from the educts waste, used tires, sewage sludge, liquid manure, biomass, and wastewater.
