Catalytic depolymerization
UNIWASTEC’s catalytic pressureless depolymerization process converts agricultural waste (biomass/liquid manure) into climate-neutral fuels.
Technology

UNIWASTEC’s catalytic pressureless depolymerization process converts agricultural waste (biomass/liquid manure) into climate-neutral fuels.
In the process, the cellulose chains of the biomass are broken down and the hydrocarbons are isolated, thus turning agricultural residues into bio-crude oil, which is refined into third-generation synthetic fuels in a further step.
Depending on the location, the system can be supplied via the public grid or operated as an island plant with a CHP unit. During island operation, less than 10% of the fuel produced is required for the system’s own energy supply.
Core Advantages
Sustainability
Environmental damage caused by agricultural waste is avoided.
Resource-saving
Agricultural waste can be used for regional supply security with climate-neutral fuels.
Efficiency
One tonne of fuel is produced from 3 tonnes of biomass.
Flexibility & Quality
The plant systems are modularly scalable and independent of the public power grid.
The fuels meet international requirements and are a 100% substitute for fossil fuels.
