In UNIWASTEC’s scrap tire cryogenic, waste tires are handled in different shredders and mills.
Steel is filtered out with the help of a magnetic separator. At very low temperatures (-195 degrees Celsius) – and using liquid nitrogen – the tire pieces are shredded finer and finer in granulators and mills and processed into rubber powder.
Finally, textile fibres are separated out by means of a sifter.
